Estuary Chambers congratulates David Godfrey, Rachel Scott, Connie Purdy and Kelsey Drewery for completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks this weekend in order to raise funds and awareness for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
The team were thankful the weather was on their side whilst enduring the 24.5 mile hike around the Yorkshire Dales, up and down its’ 3 Peaks.
Our Rachel Scott says the challenge was “a lot harder than expected, but I enjoyed it none the less as it was all for a great cause”.
And a great cause it is. Lindsey Lodge Hospice provides care for adults who have life-limiting illnesses. Their aim is to provide the highest standard of specialist palliative care, including symptom management, lymphoedema services, physiotherapy, end of life care along with bereavement and family support services.
“A really good day out raising money for Lindsey Lodge” are our David Godfrey’s words for taking part in the challenge. The team took on Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough and completed the challenge in under 12 hours. A huge achievement and a very well done all round.
